Frame Media is now Thinking Screen Media

Why the name change?

The new name better encompasses the depth and breadth of our evolving market focus as well as our lead position in delivering personalized content to Connected Screens. By way of background, in 2007 when we founded Frame Media, our vision was centered on the emergence of wireless photo frames. Over the last two years, our vision and opportunity have expanded with the growth of the connected screen market. In parallel with the evolution of the market, our platform has matured so that it supports this expanded opportunity and business vision. We have added hundreds of channels of content in over 10 languages; the capability to deliver content in multiple formats such as HTML and Flash for more sophisticated devices; as well as Ticker Text for narrow band applications which better match the screen real estate of smaller screens. As a result of these developments, we are now able to address a market that is predicted to grow to over 500-million Connected Screens by 2013. The term Connected Screens encompasses the rapidly emerging category of Internet-ready devices that contain or drive a screen, such as photo frames, TV’s, media adapters, set-top boxes, game consoles, Internet radios, and Internet phones. Our platform is directly applicable to all of these screens, which provides the sole rationale for changing our name from Frame Media to Thinking Screen Media.
